Welcome Total Wine & More!

Grape Encounters Radio, the leading nationwide wine-radio and podcasting network, proudly announces the beginning of a sponsorship agreement with the nation’s largest retailer of fine wine, Total Wine & More. David Wilson, creator and CEO of Grape Encounter Radio announced this agreement from his studios in the middle of the California Central Coast Wine Country.

Beginning this month, Total Wine & More will team up with Grape Encounters and its other affiliated programs as the lead sponsor to encompass Grape Encounters’ coast-to-coast wine broadcast, the Grape Encounters podcast and a brand-new podcast being launched in conjunction with the sponsorship entitled, “The Wine is Talking” or  TWIT for short.  (Yeah, we know!)

Executive producer of The Wine is Talking podcast is Michael O’Shea, an icon in the national radio industry and President of Amaturo Sonoma Media Group, serving the Napa and Sonoma wine regions as well as much of the bay area.  KSRO, the group’s news/talk station, which airs Grape Encounters, recently won 2 coveted Marconi award for best radio station nationwide in their market size.  O’Shea says, “The Wine is Talking is a celebration of wine and is certain to resonate and entertain people who appreciate a good glass of red or white and look at this wonderful gift of the grape as something more than just a good buzz.”

Working with Total Wine & More has been on Wilson’s bucket list for a decade.  He says, “When I first discovered Total Wine & More, I dreamed of teaming up with them someday”.  Since that first Total Wine experience, we have produced more than 500 shows and, based upon the kind of content that our listeners really enjoy, I really believe that Grape Encounters and Total Wine couldn’t be more compatible.”

Total Wine & More carries more than 8,000 different wines from every wine-producing region in the world, along with 3000 spirits and 2500 beers.  Founded in 1991 by brothers David and Robert Trone, the company now operates 197 superstores across 23 states and is constantly growing.

Not over-paying for wine is a popular theme on Grape Encounters.  It is also Total Wine’s mantra.  The company is committed to having the lowest prices on wine, spirits and beer.  Their tremendous buying power, coupled with their special relationships with producers, importers and wholesalers, enable them to pass considerable savings on to their customers.

Between now and December 31, 2019, Wilson will broadcast several shows from Total Wine & More locations around the country. Listeners will be invited to attend these public appearances and, in some instances, they will actually be able to participate in the shows.”
